An Urgent Need:

Securing the Land That Sustains Our Future

As we prepare for the upcoming planting season in Rakai District, Uganda, we are facing an immediate and pressing need.

Over the past months, Pearl Global Ministries has been working diligently to ensure that the 13 acres of land entrusted to us are put to productive use.

In our region, unused land is vulnerable to disputes and land grabbing, making it essential that we actively cultivate and care for this property. Our goal is not only to protect the land but to prepare it for planting in early August so it can continue providing food, opportunity, and sustainability for the families we serve.

Recently, we harvested coffee from the property. Every dollar from that harvest was reinvested directly back into the work. The proceeds were used to pay laborers who helped maintain the land and to cover transportation expenses necessary to move supplies and workers. While we are grateful for what the harvest provided, those funds have now been exhausted.

Today we face an urgent challenge.

Our annual land rent payment of $696 is now due. Our landlady has been patient, but she is understandably waiting for payment. Until this obligation is met, it becomes increasingly difficult to focus on supervising the ploughing, clearing, and preparation work that must happen before the planting season begins.

This is more than a rent payment.

It is the protection of 13 acres that provides opportunity, food security, agricultural training, and hope for the future. It is the foundation upon which future harvests and community projects can grow.

We are asking friends, supporters, churches, and anyone who believes in sustainable community development to help us meet this immediate need.

Our Goal: $696

Every gift, whether large or small, brings us closer to securing the land and moving forward with the work ahead.

Your support will allow us to:

  • Pay the annual rent obligation in full.
  • Protect the land from potential disputes or grabbers.
  • Continue preparing the fields for the August planting season.
  • Focus on supervision and development rather than emergency financial concerns.
  • Build a sustainable future for the families and communities we serve.

Please pray for this need and consider contributing today.

Together, we can ensure that this land continues to bear fruit—not only in crops, but in transformed lives.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
